The amazing pilots

Updated: 6 days ago

It was Jozen's very first time on a plane. He had toy planes at home, but he'd never actually flown in one. As he climbed the stairs, holding his little brother's hand, he was amazed by the sheer size of the real plane.

"Mummy, this plane is SO big!" he exclaimed to his mother as they boarded.

His mother smiled, seeing the excitement on Jozen's face.

As they stepped inside, a friendly steward offered to take Jozen and his little brother to see the captain's cockpit, where the pilot sits. They jumped up and down with excitement!

Inside the cockpit, they saw two smartly dressed women at the controls.

"Hello, young man!" one of the ladies said, looking at Jozen.

"Hello, madam. Are you a pilot?" Jozen asked, his eyes wide with wonder at all the many flashing buttons.

"Yes, I am Captain Siima, and this is my co-pilot, Captain Mina," she replied.

"My name is Jozen, and this is my baby brother. How do you know which buttons to press?"

Captain Siima smiled. "That's a great question! I went to school and studied which buttons to use. I've also been flying for a long time, which helped me learn. If you study hard, one day you can also be able to fly a plane!"

Jozen's eyes lit up as he imagined himself behind the controls. He thanked the steward for bringing them to the cockpit.

Back in his seat, he told his mother about his adventure. "Mummy, I'm going to be a pilot when I grow up! It's the best job. Pilots know how to press so many buttons!"

His mother smiled. "I'm glad you loved meeting the pilots. But remember, many people help the pilots fly the plane safely."

Jozen looked at his mother, eager to learn more.

"There are the flight attendants who make sure we're comfortable, the air traffic controllers who give the pilots directions, the weather forecasters who tell them about the weather, and many more," his mother explained.

"Yes, the pilots are amazing! But everyone who works on the plane and at the airport is important."

Jozen thought about all the people his mother mentioned. He realized that flying a plane wasn't just about the pilots; it was a team effort. He looked out the window as the plane took off, imagining all the people working together to make his flight possible. He knew that whatever job he chose, it would be important.
