The aroma from the kitchen told them their favorite food was being prepared - rice and chicken stew! Two little sisters, Mala and Anza were excited, constantly peeking at their mother in the kitchen to thank her for being the best cook in the entire world.
"Okay, girls, go wash your hands and sit at the table," Mummy instructed.
The two little sisters rushed to the sink, washed their hands with soap and water, and then eagerly took their seats at the table. Mummy soon arrived with steaming plates of rice and chicken stew.
"Thank you, Mummy!" the little girls said together, their eyes wide with excitement as they gazed at their plates.
Just then, Mummy went to pick up Gema, their 3-week-old baby sister, from the bedroom, where Gema had begun to softly cry, which meant that she was now awake and hungry.
She settled into the big chair, gently cradling Gema in her arms, and began breastfeeding her
"Oh Mummy," said Mala, the eldest of the three sisters, "I feel bad that Gema can't eat and enjoy the rice and chicken stew like we are. It is so delicious!"
Mummy smiled warmly and reassured Mala, "Gema's having her own special meal, sweetie – breastmilk is perfect for her right now, and she's loving it just like you're loving your rice and chicken stew."
"So the breastmilk tastes like rice and chicken stew for her?" Anza asked while smiling.
Mummy chuckled and said, "Well, not exactly, Anza! But for Gema, breastmilk is the tastiest thing ever, and it's just what she needs."
They all smiled at this point.
Mummy continued and said, "Breastmilk is like a special recipe just for Gema, packed with everything she needs to grow strong and healthy. It's like a superfood for her at this age. That's why she'll be having this yummy milk for a while – at least six whole months!"
"Wow, six months is a long time!" Mala said. "Did we also drink breastmilk too when we were babies?"
Mummy smiled and said, "Yes, you both did, and it helped make you the strong and smart girls you are today. Now, let's finish our meal and enjoy some time together as a family."
