Who is Jesus?

If you missed the first part of this story, catch up here: Abraham and the knife

The father smiled at his little girl, excited to share the knowledge on Jesus. But now it was almost time for her to take a shower.

"First, go take a shower, and I'll tell you all about Jesus!" her father said to her.

Clothed in her pajamas, she came back to the living room and sat next to her father, who was now sipping a warm cup of milk.

"Ready!" she exclaimed.

Her father took a sip of his milk, savoring the moment. "So, in the beginning, God created us to be good people, to always listen to Him and follow His ways."

At this point, the little girl’s mother also brought for her a warm cup of milk.

"Thanks, Mummy!" she said, smiling.

Her father continued, "But unfortunately, people were not good at all. They never listened to God, they never obeyed His Word, and they did all sorts of bad things!"

The little girl's face was filled with concern. "So, what happened?" she asked.

Her father's expression turned gentle, his eyes filled with compassion. "God was angry with all the people, and because of this, all the people deserved to die."

The little girl's eyes widened in sadness. Her father could see the weight of the message settling in.

But then he smiled, and his eyes lit up with excitement. "So, because God is full of love, instead of having all the people die, God decided to send a part of Himself to the Earth to save the people. And this was JESUS!"

The father lifted his hands in worship and celebration for the gift of Jesus, and the little girl joined in, clapping her hands.

"Jesus came to the earth, and He loved everyone, including little children like you," the father said. "He was kind to everyone and did only good things throughout His entire life."

At this point in the story, the little girl's mother came in and told her that it was bed time. But the little girl begged for just a few more minutes to hear the rest of the story.

"Okay then, just 10 more minutes!" her mother said to her.

Her father smiled, happy with mummy’s acceptance.
